Every organization has a purpose.  That purpose creates the mission statement of the organization.  ROCMAS' purpose and mission statement is:

  1. To unite fraternally all Orthodox persons of good moral character as are now or may hereafter become eligible to membership under the provisions of the by-laws of the society.

  2. To give moral and material aid in its power to its members and those dependent upon them.  To assist the widows, widowers and orphans of deceased members.

  3. To establish indemnity funds and issue insurance and other benefits permissible under the laws governing fraternal benefit societies.

  4. To secure just and equitable consideration for all members.

  5. To elevate the moral and social standing of its members.

ROCMAS has fulfilled its purpose each year since 1895.  As we move into the 21st century, a sound, aggressive and well-planned business strategy will help us meet challenges that are sure to occur.  We are ready.

ROCMAS Strategic Plan Mission Statement is as follows:

"To develop and ensure membership growth and financial stability through the development of cost effective membership benefits and delivery systems that secure needed results in order that ROCMAS can continue to accomplish the purpose for which it was founded."

It is this Strategic Plan Mission Statement that will help us accomplish our goal.  The important role we plan can best be seen by examining our specific duties and responsibilities.
